Hannah's father, Stephen Swett, her father-in-law, Giles Badger, and her grandfather, John Merrill, were all among the first settlers of Newbury Massachusetts, founded in 1639. Marker erected by the descendants of the first settlers.
Both Hannah and her husband, John, died of smallpox about the same time in March 1691.
