Ashley Co. AR
Ashley Co. AR was founded in 1848 (see present day map for location), and borders Louisiana.
Father James was a large plantation owner in Hamburg, Ashley Co. AR. William was about 10 when James died. He may have been sent to live with his namesake uncle William Lee Holloway.

After wife Jennie died, Willie married Louella "Ella" W. Austin, the younger sister of Sally Edna Austin Holloway, (1869-1919), who was the second wife of John D. Holloway, (1851-1919). Both were daughters of Allen Wesley Austin (1840-1917).
Willie's eldest daughter Clyde (1885-1972) also married another child of Allen Wesley Austin, Benjamin Hill Austin (1881-1917?) in 1909. About 1922, she married Charles Bainbridge (c.1870-1957).
