William Ball received the folowing land grants: 1) on Jan 18, 1663, 1600 acres on Narrow Neck Creek, Lancaster Co., that he named "Millenbeck", "on which he built a beautiful Georgian mansion". 2) in 1667, jointly with Thomas Chetwood, 1600 acres in Rappahannock Co. on river of the same name. 3) a few months later, 300 acres of rich bottom land adjoining the estate of Daniel Fox, 1647-1702, son of David Fox, who would marry his daughter Hannah Ball. |
