She is usually referred to as Cordelia.
It has been said that her husband John, with his younger brother Arthur, sailed from Colchester near the Thomas River, in 1640 at about age 18, to escape the persecutions of their stepmother. Arthur stayed just off the Capes of Virginia in Accomac on the eastern shore of Virginia, while John (sometimes called Abel) went to Gloucester on the western shore. Arthur's Tombstone is in Accomack Co. VA.
Cordelia probably remarried since the will dated Dec 16, 1716 of her son William refers to his mother as Cordelia Martin.
