Son James Jr. married Prudence Chester on Dec 17, 1691 at Wethersfield. On the same day, daughter Jemima married Stephen Chester, the older brother of Prudence.
Son Richard married Catherine Bulkeley or Bulkley on Nov 23, 1704 at Wethersfield and had one child named Katherine.
Daughter Rebecca married Ebenezer Deming Jr. on Dec 27, 1704 at Wethersfield. and had 6 children.
Daughter Jerusha married Capt. Thomas Wells on May 17, 1705 and had 4 children. She married second Capt. Ephraim Goodrich on Dec 25, 1712.
Son Joseph married Mary Robbins on Jul 6, 1713 at Wethersfield and had 3 children.
Daughter Mabel married Samuel Stanton on May 24, 1716 at Hartford CT. They had no children.
Son Samuel married Sarah Wolcott on Nov 22, 1716.

In 1686, Thomas Parke, Thomas Tracy, and several others petitioned for and were granted by the Connecticut General Court authority to establish a plantation seven miles square to the east of Norwich and north of New London and Stonington. A Mohegan named Owaneco gave a "confirmatory deed" for the land in 1687. In October of that same year, the town was formally incorporated as Preston, named for the English city of Preston, Lancashire.
A daughter of son Samuel married Stephen Richardson, her 2nd cousin, youngest son of Jonathan Richardson on Aug 20, 1765 at Wethersfield Congregational Church.
