Stonington was home to the Pequot Tribe when Thomas Stanton settled on the Pawcatuck River in 1649. The town of Stonington CT was created in 1666.
Jonathan married Ann Edwards, daughter of Richard Edwards (1647-1718) and his first wife Elizabeth Tuttle.
Jonathan and Ann resided in eastern Stonington north of the village of Pawcatuck, on the west side of the Pawcatuck River opposite the town of Westerly RI.
When Jonathan died at the age of 25, Ann married William Davenport (1656-1742), and they had a son Humphrey Davenport, born Oct 1702.
Son Amos married Rachel Yarrington (1707-1774) in 1724.
Coventry CT became a town on May 12, 1712, part of Windham Co. until 1785 when Tolland Co. was created.
Ann Richardson is likely buried in Nathan Hale Cemetery in Coventry, where there is a grave marker for her son Humphrey Davenport.
