was created within Wallingford. In the 1780s it became a separate town named Cheshire. |

Samuel Munson. James married Tamar Munson. Amos married Tamar's half-sister,
Obedience Munson. |

Son Robert died on the same day as his father. Both are buried in Cheshire
Hillside Cemetery on Wallingford Road. The
tombstone inscription reads:
"Here lies ye Body of Robert, Son of Capt John Hotchkifs, who died April 23 1732
in ye 23 year of his Age". |
