Frances C. "Fanny" Holloway Talbott (1793-1858) was the daugher of John Holloway, who was born in England about 1761 and died in 1823, and Elizabeth Hudson (1770-1828) [family history.org, website].
Frances married first John Talbott, a land-owner in Clark Co. KY. In 1819, she married her cousin John Holloway in Clark Co. KY. After 1835 they moved their family to Monroe Co. MO with members of the Roby family. Daughter Ellen Talbott had married John Wesley Roby (born 1807) in Clark Co. KY. Frances was buried there at the Florida Cemetery in Florida, Monroe Co. MO [Find-a-grave, website].
Clark Co. KY was formed in 1792, the year John likely married Elizabeth. It was formed from parts of Fayette and Bourbon counties of VA before KY became a state.
Son-in-law John Wesley Roby had a third wife Sarah Ivie of Kirksville, Adair Co. MO. They had a son named Wesley R. Roby (1861-1925) who moved from MO to AR and eventually TX. He died and is buried in Angelina Co. TX [Find-a-grave, website]. Angelina was the name his step-aunt, the first daughter of Frances Holloway, born in 1821.
Angelina Co. TX, formed in 1846, is the only Texas county named for a woman. Researchers believe it was named for an Indian maiden, possibly of the Caddo tribe who helped Spanish explorers in the 1700's. A river named Angelina appeared on a 1760 map in the vicinity [TexasHighways.com, website].
On Jun 24, 1844, Daughter Angelina married William M. Farrell (1823-1912) in Monroe Co. MO [familysearch, org, website].
On Mar 8, 1849, son James married Serelda Hudson (1834-1932) [familysearch, org, website].
On Sep 20, 1849, son Silas, a minister, married Charlotte Allred (1833-1890) in Adair Co. MO [Find-a-grave, website].
On Dec 24, 1849 son Edward M. (1826-1907) married Caroline Lee (1833-1891) in Monroe Co. MO. Photo of his gravestone at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, Randolph Co. MO [Find-a-grave, memorial of Edward M. Holloway, #57472710, unknown contributors].
On Feb 9, 1854, son William married Mary Stone in Adair Co. MO [familysearch, org, website].
In 1855, son John David married Charlotte Huntsaker (1839-1913) [MyHeritage, website].
On Aug 14, 1861, widower John married Permilia L. Gibbs Watts (Jun 6, 1817-Feb 5, 1910), also widowed. [Find-a-grave, website].
Husband John died Dec 5, 1887. He was buried in Antioch Church Cemetery in Rowena, Audrain Co. MO [Find-a-grave, website].
