No. 2991. Know ye that we have granted unto Thomas Malloy
Assignee of Melchior Fain a private in the Continental line of said State six
hundred & forty acres of land in Davidson County on the waters of Little Harpeth
River adjoining John Smith's West boundary as Assignee of Henry Howell Beginning
at an Ash and small Spanish Oak on Samuel McCutchins South boundary running South
four hundred and seventy Six poles and a half to a poplar sugar tree elm then
East two hundred and thirty poles to a sugar tree and beech in the said land of
McCutchins Creek then North four hundred and twenty two poles and a half to a
stake John Smith's north west corner on Thomas Hardiman South boundary, then
West one hundred and forty eight poles to said Hardiman's South West corner,
then North fifty four poles to a white Oak and hicory Samual McCutchin's South
East corner, then West to the Beginning. To hold unto the said Thomas Malloy
his heirs and assigns forever dated the 10th of April 1797.
