MARTIN DAVENPORT Last Will and Testament
Hanover County, Colony of Virginia, May 24, 1735, probate Oct 2, 1735.

In the name of God amen.
I, Martin Davenport of Hanover County, parish of St. Martin's etc. (a religious man) I bequeath to my beloved sons David Deavanport and James Deavenport and their heirs forever 150 acres of land - whereon I live to be equally divided - to David the plantation whereon I now live and 75 acres there-to joyning. The remaining part to my son James Davenport and in case my son David die without heir then his part to revert to my son Martin Deavenport and his heirs forever and if the above said James Deavenport die without heir then his part to revert to my son John Deavenport and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Wm. Deavenport 20 acres of land lying in King William County it being part of one hundred acres of land left me by my father Davis Deavenport and I do appoint my well beloved wife Dorothy Deavenport and my well beloved son Wm. Deavenport my Executors to this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal.
