Henrico Co. VA was one of the original 8 shires of the colony. Amelia Co. VA was formed in 1735 from parts of Prince George and Brunswick Counties. Chesterfield Co. was formed in 1749 from parts of Henrico Co.
Benjamin patented 400 acres with brother Jonathan near the Appomattox River.
Will of Benjamin Cheatham, dated Mar 1, 1765. He left land parcels bordering Winterpock Creek and Skinquarter Road [SW of Richmond VA) to his children.
