Robert and Partheny Chandler lived in Henry County, Virginia until about 1769.
They moved to Wilkes County, North Carolina about 1772, and then to Lauren County,
South Carolina, and finally to Wilson County, Tenn. This is based on their
own records of the births of their fourteen children. |

Son Josiah fought in the Revolutionary War. He entered service in 1778 and was
under the command of Captain Lenoir, Col. Cleveland and Captain Keys, at the
battles of Rainbow Mills, Kings Mountain and in 1782 against the indians. |

|
Son Josiah and daughter Rebecca married a daughter and son of Abraham Eddins
(1724-1801): Sarah ("Sallie") in Wilkes Co. in 1784, and William Eddins.
These two marriages produced a total of 30 children. |
