Elizabeth Sheaffe emigrated about 1645 to New England with her five children after their father's death. Her stepson, William Bradley, had already emigrated in 1638, as a member of the Davenport-Eaton expedition that founded New Haven. Excerpt from the book The Founding of New England, by James Truslow Adams. William's younger brother Daniell had emigrated 1635 on the Elizabeth.
Son Nathan Bradley married Hannah Munson, the daughter of Thomas Munson in 1694.
